Terms of Service & Legal Disclosures

1. Free Trial & Subscription

• 90-day free trial. New organizations receive 90 days of full access at no charge. No credit card is required to begin the trial.
• Agreement upfront. By starting the trial, you agree that, if you do not cancel before the trial ends, your subscription will automatically begin and you will be charged $199.00 per month.
• Cancel anytime. You may cancel at any time from your account settings. Canceling during the trial means you are never charged. Canceling after the trial ends stops future charges; access continues until the end of the current paid billing period.
• No refunds for partial periods. We do not issue refunds for partial billing periods, but you retain access through the period you've paid for.

2. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the platform to submit fraudulent, plagiarized, or misleading grant applications.
• Scrape, resell, or redistribute discovered grant data or funder contact lists outside your own organization's use.
• Attempt to access other organizations' data or reverse-engineer the platform.
• Use AI-generated content in a way that violates a funder's application rules or represents AI output as human-authored where prohibited.

3. AI-Generated Content

Grant discovery results, application drafts, and contact research are generated by AI and may contain inaccuracies. You are responsible for reviewing, verifying, and finalizing all content before submission to any funder. We are not liable for grant decisions made on the basis of AI-generated content.

4. Your Data & License

You retain ownership of your organization's data and content. You grant us a limited license to process your data solely to provide the platform's features. We do not claim ownership of your applications, content library, or contact research.

5. Service Availability

We strive for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may perform maintenance, updates, or changes that temporarily affect availability. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from service interruptions.

6. Third-Party Services

The platform integrates with third-party services (AI providers, Grants.gov, payment processors). Their terms and policies apply to your use of those services. We are not responsible for the availability or accuracy of third-party data sources.

7. Pricing Changes

We may change the subscription price for new subscribers at any time. For existing paid subscribers, we will provide at least 30 days' notice before any price increase takes effect.

8. Termination

You may cancel anytime. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that remain unpaid. Upon termination, your data is retained for 30 days to allow export, then deleted unless law requires otherwise.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to the platform is limited to the amount you paid in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for loss of grants, revenue, or data beyond this limit.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of competent jurisdiction.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated to active account holders. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

12. Disclosure

GetGrants.app is built on the Base44 platform. Account authentication, data storage, and billing infrastructure are provided by Base44 and its subprocessors. Your use is also subject to the Base44 platform terms.
